Domainers love 3 Letter names, and ZJP is a prime moving .com target. Latest results put the base price of this type of name well over the 5k mark, with plenty of room for bidding higher. Expect this one to move over that mark quickly, leaving only a few good bidders to determine its final price.
No matter the market, LLL coms have outpaced the Dow by a massive margin and will continue to be the investment of choice in years to come.

KUDOS !! ... Finally!
I'm not a fan of 3 letter domains but it doesn't matter - the marketplace does - domain investors, end users, Frank, Kevin, everyone. This a true premium - good job guys - Bido is Back baby .... at least for today :-) Please don't ruin my joy with applesaucebooblestic |

For several years now, three letter .com domains are used as the "gold coin" of domain trading. In 2007 and into the better half of 2008, LLL .com's rose in pricing to almost $9k across the board, even for lesser quality letters, with the better quality letters bringing LLL .com sales well into the mid $xx,xxx range.
This one consists of the "difficult" letter "Z" and the "JP" pair that denotes "Japan". However, "Z" is a common name in German and other central European languages. The market's... read more |

The only way to get a three letter domain today is by buying it to other person, by direct transfer or an auction like this one. This domains are very limited and really easy to remind, that is why are so popular and there are no longer three letter domains available to register.
It has some antique, over eight years having been registered. And even it is not a word and has no vowels, it is really easy to remind and I think this domain can easily reach a couple of hundreds. Even... read |

Thumbs up. While the price of LLL.com's is down as of late, this market will rebound as new companies are formed and need the letter designations.
This will easily go for $x,xxx. Three letter domains are great because many times they can be sold to white collar professionals like lawyers and accountants. Many of these firms will be something like 'Smith Reed Gondel' so if they can get srg.com, it is a huge score for them. Great job landing this one Bido! |

Everyone loves three letter domains. Even 3 letter dot coms with bad letters do well. The market is down for these type of domains but down still means 5k plus. I expect this one to end between 5 and 6 with it being closer to 6 because it is the first 3 letter here at Bido. This one will be much more exciting than the names we've had here lately

Unlike many domain investors I don't get too excited about these 3 letter domains that have no real value other than the fact they are one of 17,576 of them. It's a little different if the three letter domain actually means something, like act.com, men.com, or similar, which can make their value go into the stratosphere.
But if it is just a random 3 letter combination with no real meaning I really see limited value in them, especially for awkward letters such as these. That said, with its “perceived” value, I would expect to see the domain zjp.com go in the $4,500... read more |

In August of 2008 I sold Z P C (,) com to a reseller for $9k which, at the time, was about 50% higher than other double-premiums were going for. That should give us some idea how a strong acronym like JP will do alongside a poor quality letter.
Normal double-premiums seem to be selling at around $3.5k - $4k these days, so I would expect this one, with a strong acronym, to go for around $5.5k - $6k.
