Personally I have a new rule, DON'T INVEST IN BORING DOMAINS, and to me EQUITYGRANT.COM is a very boring domain name. It might be a little more attractive if it were plural though. If you think you can locate and convince the right end user (an organization or gov. agency) that they absolutely need this domain, then go for it.
There's approx. 51,000 google instances for the term in quotes. The .net and the .org are still available. Estibot says it's worth $1,400 USD. I say it's worth... read more |

Well i must say this is not a "top shelf" domain in my opinion. The words just make little to no sense together. I typed "What is an equity grant?" in to google and there were no direct results to what it is. Seems likes it is a made up term used by companies to "grant" others or employees capital. All in all this domain probably gets little to ZERO traffic. As far as resell there really is not a market for this domain. If anything i would buy this for a 4-5 year hold. Other than that it is worthless to me, not even worth the development IMO.

EQUITYGRANT.COM I can not see the use of this domain as a traffic builder or to generate traffic to a web site as a DBO strategy domain,
however, I can see potential in it for someone wanting to have unique email and web page address's. |

The best strategy for a person buying this website would be to create a small information website on equity grants - all the basic information, main links, etc. This could work.
Obviously, not the greatest name, certainly not attractive if one looks at it from a domainer's perspective - but I always attempt to keep in mind that the Web is not primarily meant for domainers, but for searching, networking, selling, buying...

Ask yourself what is an EquityGrant? It's another made up domain that makes no sense. Back in the days when people (some still do) simply combined popular keywords to secure a .com and hope ... or pray ... for traffic - Thats exactly what this domain is.
My bet is this domain has NO traffic value and IMO has NO development value - brandable, SEO... read more |

I am not crazy about this name. I archived it. It is not that old. It looks like it was first crawled by Archive.org around Jan 2006. Looks like it was parked all along. It is available in every extension except dot com(not good). According to Estibot it has a max PPC bid of $11.00. That is very good. It only gets 100 total searches a month. That is very low. It is not a commonly used term so I wouldn't think it gets any type-in traffic at all. It could be developed but out of the box I don't think it is worth much. My guess it goes for around $100 or less.

I can only say one thing here. And it will also say a lot about other domains in current market. If your names worth nothing without development, it means it worth nothing. If your domains worth something, but will be even bigger when developed - then it's a good investment. Here I don't see any real value, without development. Means reg fee or less. Sorry if I sound harsh. :-)

When looking for domain names with strong keywords it is important to make sure the keywords are related, and in the right order. In this case the keywords are in the right order, i.e. equitygrant makes more sense than grantequity.
One you know the keywords are ordered correctly - you have to see how closely related the keywords are. With only about 50,000 results on Google for "equity grant" and not a single advertiser this does not look... read more |

Not too crazy about this domain.
Well, it barely has 100 internet users per month searching for "EQUITY GRANT" total over at Google and Yahoo. Obviously not a whole lot of interest in particular when it comes to the keyword "EQUITY GRANT". It sounds good... That is about the best thing it has going for it and of course it is a DOT COM, which is always good. If it somehow managed to... read more |

EquityGrant.Com - who knows you might hear it on the news, Today Show, CNN etc. in a couple of days and it could be a number one Google search. That is why we play the domain game. Because today's "lame name" could be tomorrows big search. Me personally, I'm looking forward for Bido to start back up.Cheers.
