9U.net is a great name and I say that even though I hate the .net extension. The reason I like 9U.net is because it's a perfect brand for a web hosting company that either leases rack space (collocating) or provides dedicated server hosting. "U" is a measurement of rack space and 9U's is about 16 inches of vertical rack space. That's pretty darn big. It's the size an IBM BladeCenter H for example. And .net is a nice extension for hosting providers. It's not so much it's comparison to .com that you have to think about, it's how .net will stack up against other TLDs in the coming years and how relevant it is to your product/website. In this case it...

There are alot of different directions you can take this one. The professional commentary thus far has been excellent. Depending on who you talk to, estimated values range from $1000-$5000 although I don't see this domain fetching more than $3000 here at Bido. The pluses and minuses make this auction to unpredictable for my taste. I look forward to the results. Good luck!

Great name, there aren't many of these available. I would look at this domain as a pure investment for 2 character domain names. Although it is a .net the 9U combination would be a perfect fit for a company which currently has the abbreviation 9U referencing a product. Good luck to the winning bidder. Might actually go for around $1,000+.

Lots of people compare domains to real estate. I like to compare domaining to coin collecting. What I mean is when I was a kid my Dad would go to the bank and get $50 worth of quarters or dimes. He would bring them home, dump them on the kitchen table and us kids would look for silver coins. If you look on the edge of the dimes or quarters you will see a copper ring around the edge. Coins printed before 1964 don't have this. They are pure silver. We would sift though the pile of coins looking for coins with no copper rings. As the silver dimes and quarters became harder to find they also became more valuable. Scarcity and rarity is what...

This is a very nice name, and I would love to own it. In fact I have a bid in to see if I can grab it. It seems as if the 2C.nets come up regularly and for as rare as they are, one can be had. These are treated as collector’s items more so than business entities/domains. Typically this are traded back and forth among domainers so they can fill out their portfolio and put another notch in their belt. When it comes to "Premium" letters and numbers, it doesn't make a difference. Unless the pair has an obvious meaning, and to me this one does not, it's value will stay grounded. This is one case where the .com would command more...

This might be the first 2 character domain on Bido(I might be wrong).
This domain will get many bidders because of the 2 characters it contains. This domain(9u.net) can be used for any type of website(with a little development). I like the domain 9u.net...even with DOT NET can is in high demand. Domainers like things simple and short, so expect it to reach $1,000-$1,300.

Good Luck,

Victor

Agreed a two-LETTER domain would be valuable. Since this is a alpha-numeric domain name, I don't see the appeal. It would take a massive budget to brand this combo.

Thinking about this from a business sense, it would draw great resale value but not too much for a business. However, I think any 2-digit name is good to have in your portfolio. I have never been that lucky but wish the owner of this name a great sale...
